Happy Homemaker Monday 07.24.17

Good Morning!! These days are flying by, summer is fast approaching its end.  We still have a few more fun events to look forward to in town, as well as enjoying rides on our bikes.  We had gotten Ben a bike for his birthday, and we recently fixed a bike we had for Elijah to ride, so they are enjoying their bit of freedom to ride like the wind.  Have a great week!!

RECIPE I DID TRY/I WANT TO TRY:

I made the Mashed Potato and gravy bombs this week, and they were, well…the bomb!!  Ben picked out every flavor, and really enjoyed all his favorites together.  They were a bit messy to make, but I think it was because my potatoes were still warm.  It is probably best to mix all the ingredients into the potatoes and let it chill in the fridge. You can find the recipe here.

This is what I want to try next!!  Find the recipe here.

HAPPENINGS AROUND TOWN:

Pierogi fest this weekend.  They have added a tween/teen section which looks like fun, with a human fooseball game.  Haven’t decided when I’ll venture out there, but the lure of Elephant Ears and Funnel Cakes is my motivation.  Next up will be the back-to-school event a few days before the boys start.

Wednesday night was Hollywood Cars Cruise Night.  It’s always fun to see Mater and Lightning McQueen in person.  The DeLorean was pretty awesome too.  Ben and I walked over there earlier to see if we could get a sneak peak before all the people showed up.  We did see Mater and McQueen on the truck, but the DeLorean hadn’t showed up yet.  See pics below in FAVORITE PIC FROM THE CAMERA.

My bike arrived on Tuesday morning.  Ben and I put it together in the afternoon and I was riding it by the evening. Yes, we put it together in the living room, it was too hot outside or in the garage.  We had a few problems with putting things on backwards at first, but quickly made the correct adjustments.  Once I took it for a ride, I did have to make further adjustments but it rides like a dream.  Sadly, as I type this it is in the garage with a flat tire, but I will repair once I finish this post, have no idea how that happened 😦

  1. Hey Babes! Catching up late. Another busy week – but fun stuff too. 😉
Love it all! The funny. The recipe (I think I made something similar to that once?). I love that beer video – I’d seen that before and I was crying from laughing so hard! And I love the car pics. Lots of fun action around your parts there. I’m jealous of pierogi fest but I’ll be there in spirit!
And I”m still so tickled with your new bike! Get that tire fixed and get back to it Lady.
    xoxo

  2. Hmm…why do I suddenly want to go watch Back To The Future? We’ve see the DeLorean at some event around here before. It’s a lot of fun, isn’t it? Hope you get the flat on your bike fixed and get to get out there and enjoy it again very soon, Have a great week!
